Excel Macro Course - from Simple to Powerful

Registration is from 8:30 with a light breakfast, and will start at 9am, and finish at around 5pm to 5:30pm. A short lunch (around 40 minutes) is usually at 12:30.

Within this one day intensive course, you will gain experience and knowledge of how to make your macros deliver speed, accuracy and consistency. Headline sessions are - general Macro rules; scenarios; adding data to lists; looping through; automating output reports.

The day is broken into 6 sessions, which deliver specific learning for you - supported with hands-on activity and a course guide filled with useful information.
Each of the sessions uses real life data, and you will experience the tasks that other professional accountants meet regularly - and discover fast and smart routes to achieve the objectives.

Excel Macro Course outline:

This course is targeted at Accountants or people who work with numbers a great deal - and are already very good at Excel.  You probably use Excel every day - but want to achieve more, faster - through automation. We have built this course based on substantial experience of working with large organisations and leading accountants across the UK. We cover a great deal in the day so you will find it intensive.
On the course, we focus on showing you how to think about Excel differently. We will broaden your exposure to key aspects of Excel and show you how to integrate multiple functions to get more from the software.
We expect delegates to be comfortable using Excel, and if you can, bring your own laptop with you (you will learn more) - with Excel 2013 or 2016/365 loaded. 2007 is passable but 2003 is not.  Please contact us should you wish to reserve and borrow one of our laptops, if you have not got one with the right specification.

The Day:
1. Structuring macros: Recording and completing simple automation.

2. Structuring a Macro Process. Scenario Automation.
Structuring your Data - the Must-Haves.

3.  Moving data between Macros and your Spreadsheet.
        Looping through user selections.
Using Criteria and generating good looking reports.

4.  Outputting to departmental tabs: Shortcuts - pivoting.
Import and Export files using user defined paths.
